Welcome to the North Pinellas Historical Museum

Postcards from the Past

In keeping with our commitment to preserve the history of the communities of North Pinellas County Florida, NPHM has begun compiling an online, searchable catalog (found here) of the museum’s collection in the earnest hope that visitors, historians and museum archivists will voluntarily contribute to the data base and in so doing help create this vital and unique slice of southern American history for the edification of generations to come.

With over 4000 items in the museum holdings and counting the process of preserving, cataloging and exhibiting this collection will require months if not years; our hope is that the process can and will be aided by individuals like yourselves with either first hand or second hand knowledge of the time, place and people that delineate North Pinellas County Florida.

If you can contribute to this living history please contact us at 727 724-3054 or by email: phhsi@hotmail.com. We value your postcards from the past.

If you have an interest in visiting the Museum please select from the information provided below.

North Pinellas Historial MuseumThis historic home was built about 1915 by "Judge" Thomas William Hartley, a justice of the peace, Methodist lay minister, and businessman who originally settled in this area in the early 1880's.

The museum features a variety of exhibits and displays, which feature the early history of Palm Harbor, Crystal Beach, Ozona and the Curlew communities. The museum's focus is the early period from the 1800s forward when this area of Pinellas County was first settled.
